In the year 1895, Seth Tulsidas, the in his early twenties, started a firm in
his own name ---- "TULSIDAS KHIMJI", with a table space in a reputed Bank. He
had only one assistant then. Slowly, the firm grew in strength and one after another
various departments were formed. With the growth of business and the family, the
firm became a partnership in which his sons, nephews and later, his grandsons
joined as partners.
|
The rapid growth of the firm necessitated the original firm to be converted into
a Private concern in December 1961. In the year 1996, the entire business
of Warehousing, Cotton Controlling and Insurance was transferred to its existing
group company M/s Tulsidas Khimji (Warehousing) Pvt. Ltd.

It
is interesting to note that in the early years "TK" used to handle not only the
imports and exports of general cargo but and also gold, silver and currency notes
to and from various parts of the world by sea, land or air. Most of the bullion
shipments before World War II used to move by ships and mail boats, mostly belonging
to P & O BSSN and Anchor Line. A few shipments were also sent out by air. From
Bombay, the shipments by sea were effected in the early years even by mail boats,
and the bills of lading were placed on the same voyages as the cargo. We
are fully aware of our commitment to our customers and the competitive conditions
under which we are working. This enables us to serve as Warehouse Keepers & Cotton
Controllers in the most professional manner. We are striving towards excellence
in service and have not forgotten our original objectives of diligence, honesty,
integrity and sincerity of purpose, which are the hallmarks of our century old
