We were acting as the principal agents for Atlas Assurance Co, which subsequently became part of the Royal Exchange group of U.K. After nationalisation, we continued functioning as Insurance Agents for National Insurance Co. Ltd. In the beginning, we used to act as underwriters and suggest to the Insurance Companies premiums to be charged for non-tariff items such as Marine Assurance policies. Of course, as agents, we were authorised by our Principals to prepare, sign and issue their policies for Fire, Marine, Accident and Burglary, etc.
